As a sworn member of the Blaine County Sheriff's Office, a Deputy Sheriff enforces/ensures compliance with state laws, local ordinances, and judicial compliance orders as necessary. They are responsible for driving a patrol car, actively patrolling areas in order to detect criminal activity, protect life and property, and preserve the peace. They also pursue suspects on foot or in a vehicle, detains, arrests, books, and transports suspects. 

    DEPARTMENT EQUIPMENT

    The Blaine County Sheriff's Office provides it's employees with the best equipment in the field. This ensures they have all the tools they need to complete their duties. Our department is fully equipped with state of the art radar systems for speed detection. These radar systems can capture the speed of a vehicle from up to two miles away. This equipment can also capture the vehicle license plate with complete accuracy. Our fleet consists of eight vehicles:

  • BUREAUS & DIVISIONS

    The Department has two bureaus, with a Captain in charge of each bureau (holding the position of Chief of "...".) Each division underneath a bureau is headed by a deputy of no set rank, who holds the position of Commanding Officer. As a whole, each division contains its own Command Team, which the Commanding Officer collaborates with to ensure the effective management of the division. 

    Professional Standards Bureau (PSB)

    Internal Affairs Division

    The Internal Affairs Division investigates cases of corruption and officer misconduct internally.

    Community Relations Division

    The Community Relations Division writes up and releases press releases and the monthly news letter, as well as foster relations between the various communities of Blaine County and the Department.

    Operations Bureau (OB)

    Traffic Enforcement Division

    The Traffic Enforcement Division was established to combat traffic offenses, impaired driving, drug trafficking, and transportation of illegal weapons within the borders of San Andreas along its surrounding areas. The division is responsible for proactive traffic and drug/weapons enforcement involving the San Andreas vehicle & legal code. 

    Crime Suppression Division

    The Crime Suppression Division is the department's tactical specialists. The Division members are special weapons team members and are trained and certified in SWAT operations, warrant execution, and assist with the Major Crimes Division with dangerous criminal activity.

    Major Crimes Division

    The Major Crimes Division handles all investigative work for the Sheriff's Office. They create casefiles, monitor all criminal activity, and take down illegal organizations.
